New Hint:
Nebulosity is a module for the DNN 4.X platform that will generate one of those tag clouds the kids are so crazy about now a days based upon your sites indexed search results. Operation is very simple and requires very little effort on your part as far as configuration of the module goes. Before you install the module make sure that your DNN search functionality is returning results when you search from an ordinary search input. If you get results when searching you should be good to go. After you install the module you will see a weighted list of topics displayed in the oh so familiar tag cloud format.
The next thing you will need to do is go to the module settings to configure a few simple settings. Here are the options you will be presented with:
* NoiseWords - This module setting will allow you to enter words separated by a comma to be removed from the tag cloud. This is handy for those common words that might show up like the, how, etc.
* Results Title Length- If you are using the AJAX results this allows you to set the length of the titles displayed for search results.
* Results Description Length - If you are using the AJAX results this allows you to set the length of the descriptions displayed for search results.
* Use DNN Search Results - If for whatever reason you prefer to post back to your DNN search results page, check this option and it will redirect your search results display there. This will automatically find the first instance of the DNN search results module assuming you have one and only one in your portal on some page.
* Results Module TabId - If for whatever reason you want to explicitly define the TabId to redirect to simply supply it here, and your query will be redirected to that tab for your results display
After you've done that you should be finished with setup and ready to enjoy the module. If you should decide that the fonts or colors in the tag cloud or search results are not to your liking changing them are very easy. All styles for the module may be configured via one CSS file. This makes integrating into your current skin design a snap. Below is a screenshot, or check out the live demo of Nebulosity here.
